Where is my calendar?
Roll your mouse over the "Profile" drop-down menu and click on the property of the calendar you want to update (if you have more than one property listing). Then click on the section that says "Calendar".
Why should I keep my calendar updated?
Your calendar shows your availability periods to other members that may be interested in staying at your place. If the dates chosen by the guests correspond with your availability periods, your house will appear in the search results when other members launch a search.
How can I update my calendar?
There are only 2 periods of availability that members can select for their calendar:
- Available: “I’m available on these dates and I would be happy to consider an exchange”
- GuestWanted: “My house is available and I am looking for guests!”
Members will ONLY be able to select the days that the hosts have indicated are available or are looking for guests.
When there is no period selected, it’s because the house is not available for an exchange.
So when the calendar is in white it’s because the member is not available. In this case, they will need to select the period when they can host new guests.
How can I show on my calendar that my house has been booked by another member?
Once you have finalised an exchange through the platform, the calendar will update automatically showing the dates of the exchange in red (occupied):
How can I create a period of availability on my calendar?
Click on the first day and last day of your period of availability, and select the availability ("Available" or "Guest Wanted").
How can I delete an availability period on my calendar?
If you want to delete an availability (and GuestWanted) period in your calendar, follow the same process as creating a new period. Click on the first day and last day of the period during which your property will be unavailable. Then, select “Delete a period”.
Once this option is selected, the calendar will appear white again
How can I indicate the times when my property will be unavailable?
By default, when your calendar is empty, it is because it is not available.
If you want to make sure the house is not available, check that the dates are not highlighted in either blue or green. If they are highlighted, you can delete this period and it will automatically become unavailable.
My house is not going to be available for a long period of time. What can I do?
You have the option to just "unlist" your home while keeping your user account open. This way, your home will no longer be visible to other users and you will no longer receive new messages from other members.
You can "list" your home again or add a new home whenever you want.
