Thanks to the GuestPoint system you are able to organize reciprocal and non reciprocal exchanges.
Our site can be used for two types of exchanges:
- I host the person whose home I am staying in: this is a reciprocal exchange as I am both the host and the guest
- The host whose home I am staying in may not be interested in coming to my home in turn, in which case I will offer him a predetermined amount of GuestPoints per night in exchange for his hospitality. This is considered a non reciprocal exchange as I will either be a host or a guest thanks to the GuestPoint system.
Each home has a different value of GuestPoints per night. This amount is automatically calculated by the site and depends on a variety of factors: the size of the home, the number of beds and bedrooms, the home's equipment, location, etc ...
What is a GuestPoint?
Just as no two homes are the same, each home on GuesttoGuest has a different GuestPoint per night value. The GuestPoints are a way to attribute and account for the value of a night spent in each home. Thus, our members exchange GuestPoints rather than money.
Thanks to the GuestPoint system it is easier for members to find hosts in the destinations of their choice with a home that pleases them and is available during their travel dates.
How does it work?
When a member creates their GuesttoGuest account they also create their home's listing and input its size, location, number of beds, amenities, etc. These details are used by an automatic evaluation system that calculates the number of GuestPoints per night of the home.
This system allows hosts to earn GuestPoints when they invite guests in their home for a non reciprocal exchange. They can then use these GuestPoints to travel to any destination or their choice, at any time!
