What are "saved searches" for?
When you save your searches by creating an alert, you will be notified by e-mail each time a house that matches your search criteria is added to GuestToGuest. In other words, the system will save the city, number of guests and each filter you have used in a particular search. So when a new home appears to fulfill all your requirements, you will receive an e-mail with details of the property.
How can I save a search?
To save a search, simply click on the button that says "Create an alert". You will find it just under the dates you selected when you launched the search. Take a look at the image below:
You can create as many alerts as you want for different cities/countries/dates. Once you save a search, you can find it in "My saved searches".
I DO NOT WISH TO RECEIVE ANY MORE NOTIFICATIONS from my saved searches. Where can I delete the alert?
To re-launch or delete any of your saved searches, roll your mouse over the "Profile" drop-down menu and click on "My saved searches". Here you can delete a saved search or, if you prefer, activate or deactivate the notifications for a particular saved search.
Once you are on "My saved searches", you can:
1- Keep your saved search but choose to stop receiving alerts about new homes on the platform that match your search criteria. To do this, you have to move the "Email alerts" switch:
2- Delete a saved search by clicking on the recycle bin icon:
Why is it important to save searches?
Saving searches is important for 3 main reasons:
1- If the destination you are looking for is one of your favourites, it will be easier to have access to the search results if you have it saved directly in "My saved searches".
2- Each time a new home that matches the requirements of one of your saved searches is added to GuestToGuest, you will receive a notification straightaway.
3- Saved searches are also useful for members who are looking for guests to host in their properties. This way, when you save a search, you can be contacted by those members who are doing a reverse search that matches all your requirements.
