Are you planning a trip with friends or family members that are also registered on GuestToGuest?
Do you and your travel companions want to finalize an exchange with GuestPoints and equally contribute to the total number of GuestPoints from your individual accounts?
There are 2 options:
Option 1 : Each of you finalizes a part of the trip (recommended!)
This option will allow you to:
- Divide and share the total number of GuestPoints given to the host for your stay
- Divide and share the deposit
- Divide and share the total cost of the insurance
- All the members will receive a review which will make future exchanges much easier
How can we do it?
Example: I want to travel from 1 - 14 August with my cousin who also has an account on GuestToGuest.
1- I explain our plans to my host and ask if he/she agrees to finalize 2 exchanges, one with me and one with my cousin.
2- I send an exchange request from 1- 7 August (with the total number of guests)
3- My cousin sends an exchange request from 7 - 14 August (with the total number of guests too)
4- I ask the host to divide the deposit in half. This way, if the deposit is 1000€, I ask the host to modify the amounts and ask for €500 from each exchange.
This would also divide the 3.5% commission fee in half and charge both guests the same amount.
5- The host pre-approves both exchanges and then we both finalize it each exchange individually.
Option 2: Contact GuestToGuest to transfer GuestPoints manually (less recommended)
By doing this only 1 member will have the option to review and be reviewed.

What you can't, shouldn't and are not allowed to do is create a fake exchange between you and your friends/family members accounts to transfer GuestPoints from one account to another
To protect our community, GuestToGuest has created an algorithm that can detect fraud and creating fake exchanges may result in your account being closed.
